When do you meet?

PWS meets the third Wednesday of every month, except June and July, at 12pm. For our 2022 programming and locations, please click here.

I do not know anyone in PWS, can I still attend as a guest?

Absolutely! If you are interested in attending, please contact our Vice-President, Elena McLendon, who is also in charge of membership, at mainstreet@statesborodowntown.com.

How Do I Join?

Guests are welcome to join our February-December meetings. After your visit, you will receive an email with more information about our organization. Guests may visit PWS twice before making a decision to join.

What are the dues?

Annual dues are $225. Dues may be paid quarterly. If paid in one lump sum before the February meeting, members receive a $25 discount.

What is the Professional Development Lottery and how to I apply?

The Professional Development Lottery is awarded in January to two PWS members to assist them in their continuing education or professional development. Each of the two selected members will receive $625 to be applied to work-related conferences, job-related continuing education, or other professional development. To be eligible to apply, the member must have attended 6 of the 9 regular monthly meetings in the previous calendar year, be current on their dues as of December 15 of that calendar year, and put their name in the lottery prior to the January meeting of the next calendar year. Example: For the 2023 Lottery, a member must have attended 6 of the 9 regular monthly meetings in 2022, have their dues 100% paid by December 15, 2022, and put their name in the lottery prior to the January 2023 meeting when the lottery will be held.
